A Christmas Cracker
It was wonderful to see Zvari filmed graduate MISTER COFFEY win on his debut for Seven Barrows at Newbury's Betway Introductory Hurdle. The exciting young prospect exchanged hands in the Spring last year for a whopping £340,000.
Nicky Henderson added, "that is going to be a spectacular horse. You could see there that Nico was trying to mind him the whole way round."
We can't wait to see his career progress, he is certainly one to watch.
Congratulations to all of his connections.
The Million Mark
We were delighted to see one of our Zvari filmed yearlings hit the £1,000,000 mark at the Tattersalls October Sale. The opportunity to buy such a well bred son by DUBAWI clearly didn't go a miss. From a formidable nursery and out of the Champion European mare THE FUGUE, he boasted a physical as good as his pedigree and went on to be purchased by David Redvers of Qatar Bloodstock/ Tweenhills Stud.
Records were thrown out of the water at this years renewal of the Goffs UK Premier sale. We were fortunate to be asked to produce virtual inspection videos for a number of high class entries at the sale, including the record breaking son of Kingman, consigned by Hillwood Stud. Selling for £440,000 he became the highest priced yearling to ever be sold at the Premier Sale. We marketed a total of six of the ten top lots at the sale.
Held on the eve of Royal Ascot in beautiful summer evening sunshine, the inaugural Goffs London Sale. Showcasing an extraordinary selection of horses that attracted worldwide recognition and the chance to own a horse to run in your colours with a live chance at Royal Ascot that week is a remarkable concept. We were thrilled to be asked to film the UK entries including the Andrew Balding trained LE DON DE VIE, who later sold to Howson/Houldsworth/Group 1 Bloodstock & Aziz Kheir for £460,000. This is certainly a highlight in the sales calendar!
Harry Whittington stamped his name in the sales ring when offering Mister Coffey. After heated bidding from multiple parties he went the way of Tom Lacey for £340,000. Harry saw potential in Mister Coffey when no one else did, just last year he was overlooked and brought back by the vendor for only 48,000 Euros. Harry did a fantastic job campaigning him and Tom spoke very highly of his purchase, "He's very athletic and is a big frame of a horse, so you're paying for the potential. I loved the look of him, I like the sire, the horse has everything; he has size, scope and action." We look forward to seeing him on the track.
The Perfect Start
We joined forces with Tattersalls Ascot to provide footage of the UK entries heading to the sale. The sale provided some top class horses and we're pleased to say that everything we filmed sold, providing us with a perfect clearance statistic of 100%. We can't ask or more than that at our first sale!
